PregnaGym
The Women's Resource Center at West Hills Hospital & Medical Center houses one of the most popular stops - the PregnaGym. All you need to participate is a referral from your doctor, once you've safely passed week 12 of your pregnancy. Then you're cleared to make use of the PrenaGym equipment, or attend the yoga or aerobics classes for as long as you and your doctor are comfortable with your participation.

Prenatal Program: Your initial assessment will be performed by a registered nurse who reviews both your medical history and your physician's recommendations. Upon completion of your assessment, an individualized conditioning program will be prescribed to meet your needs. Then you are on your way to the gym and proper training with the specialized Nautilus machines.
Daily Routine:Due to the efficient design of the Nautilus equipment and the Cardio Exercise Cycles, your exercise sessions are scheduled three times a week and last about 60 minutes a session.
Postpartum Exercise Program: This program is open to all women who recently delivered, regardless of participation in the PregnaGym program prior to delivery. Once you have received permission from your physician to resume an exercise program, you may join.
What about kids? The PregnaGym offers childcare, for a modest fee.
The PregnaGym is not only a place where expectant moms can become fit but it is resource for all mom - experienced or first-time, the gym provides a safe, friendly environment for moms and expectant to interact and learn from one another. The gym also offers referrals, networking, a newsletter and much more.
Fees: $50 registration; $45/monthly for delivering at WHH&MC and $55/monthly for those not delivering at WHH&MC
Ask your doctor for a referral to the PregnaGym, then call us for a tour of the facility and embark on one of the greatest opportunities available for women today. Our classes follow the guidelines for exercise established by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG). The gym also offers lockers and showers for your convenience, please bring your own towels.
