Opportunities for Volunteers

The UCLA Health West Hills Medical Center volunteers play a key role in our caring healthcare team. Volunteers provide thousands of service hours each year to West Hills Hospital and help support our patient care mission: to care for every patient like our own family. Consider the many ways you can make a difference through volunteering. There is a wide variety of opportunities, from working as a greeter at the information desk or assisting in various hospital departments. Our volunteers enjoy a wonderful camaraderie.

We ask for a minimum commitment of six consecutive months and 100 hours. Many volunteers enjoy their work so much, however, they contribute many more hours for many years.

Volunteer opportunities exist throughout the hospital, seven days a week – during morning, afternoon and evening shifts. If selected as a West Hills Hospital Volunteer, you will be provided with a uniform jacket and a free meal for each day that you volunteer. All volunteers are required to have a Tuberculosis screening, provided free of charge, and a background check. Volunteers must also attend all orientation and training sessions.
